Jo Glanvill Counselling
I believe in giving people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to speak and share their concerns in life. For some, they may not have the chance or confidence to speak up and express their feelings. Some people don’t know how to, they just know that something is wrong but don’t know where to start or can’t identify with what issue they want to explore initially.
PERSON CENTRED APPROACH
I provide a safe and confidential space for open-ended counselling which gives the client the opportunity to have as many sessions as they wish with regular reviews on the therapy. I work using a Person-Centred approach which focuses entirely on the client and their agenda.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation where I will explain the counselling process and will ask some questions of the client to understand their situation. If we decide to work together, we can then arrange the next session. Each subsequent one hour session is charged at £45 which is payable by cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
*UPDATE* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I have limited availability for face to face sessions and will risk assess each enquiry individually. To ensure a safe environment and prevent the potential transmission of the virus I ensure my therapy room is equipped to fully sanitise the space between sessions as well as having the necessary hand sanitiser available. I now provide telephone or online sessions using Zoom or FaceTime and I can explain further on the effectiveness of this communication method upon enquiry. By holding the sessions in this way we can avoid any risk of spreading COVID-19.
Concessions are available for student Counsellors.
A minimum period of 24 hours notice is required if a session is to be cancelled to avoid being charged for the full session fee.
